Episode 3
Although they had breakfast, Eun Woogyung didn’t return to his room today. Instead, he efficiently loaded the dishwasher, then settled on the sofa with a cup of coffee.
‘Why isn’t he going back in? It’s usually his nap time…’
If he went to his room, I could tidy up and get some things done…
Still glancing around nervously, Eunwoo decided she’d head into her room instead. She went to brush her teeth in the bathroom.
Afterward, she grabbed a bottle of water and was about to slip into her room when Woogyung spoke up.
“What do you do in your room?”
It was the first time he’d initiated small talk—not just saying something he *had* to say.
“Me? Uh…”
Woogyung gave her a faint, polite smile and nodded, and Eunwoo, fumbling for words, managed to reply.
“Ah… I’m, um, job hunting…”
It was a pretty miserable answer. She didn’t really *do* much in there—just refreshed job listings while waiting for interview calls.
Woogyung nodded again, still with that faint smile, and Eunwoo blurted out something else. She didn’t want him to think she was a *total* freeloader.
“I-I actually have an interview today..!!”
“Oh yeah? Then it’s an important day.”
“Yes! I’m heading out at eleven..!”
“Good luck with the interview. I’ll treat you to something nice for dinner.”
“…!!!”
He said it with such a gentle smile that Eunwoo couldn’t keep her expression in check.

He’s really good-looking.
I shouldn’t be having feelings for my friend’s brother, but…
He’s just… exactly my type.
I mean, his face. It’s just… his face. That’s all.
It’s like meeting the person I always imagined.
“Hello! I’m Go Eunwoo! It’s a pleasure to meet you!”
Wearing Hakyung’s black suit, Eunwoo bowed respectfully to the four interviewers.
Although Hakyung’s tall and slender frame matched Eunwoo’s waist, the skirt was a bit short. Still, it was better than showing up in casual clothes, so she gratefully wore it every time.
She’d been to several interviews already, but nothing had worked out.
Some rejected her, and others had really sketchy offers she couldn’t accept.
Today’s company was a small fashion firm. She wasn’t applying as a designer, but she hoped her art background could land her a spot on the design team. The company was only five years old and conveniently located near Hakyung’s office. It made the job more appealing—maybe they could even commute together.
The atmosphere in the room was light and friendly. It was clearly a younger, trendier fashion company, and the interviewers were also younger and more open compared to previous places.
Then a man seated in the center spoke. He had pale skin, dyed blond hair, and a loose knit sweater that exposed his neckline. Honestly, his impression… wasn’t great.
“Other than gallery exhibitions and tutoring, you’ve never worked at a company?”
“…No..! I’ve mostly focused on gallery prep work…”
Eunwoo, trying her best to give a well-prepared answer, was cut off by his laughter.
It felt… odd.
“Ha! So this would be your first company job?”
“Ah, yes..! If I’m hired, this would be my first position..!”
“Great. You’re hired\~”
“…?”
Everyone turned toward him. The blond man stood up with a small smirk.
He sauntered over and made direct eye contact. As he leaned forward, Eunwoo averted her eyes—his sweater dipped so low she was worried about what she might see.
“Starting tomorrow.”
“Whaaat???”
“Why? You don’t want to?”
“N-no!! It’s not that!!! I-I just heard there would be a final interview with the CEO…”
“I’m the CEO.”
“…..Ah…”
He’s so young… and also, why the casual speech?
Taking a deep breath, Eunwoo looked at him—this so-called CEO. He gave a mysterious smile and walked out.
“See you tomorrow\~”
“…Yes!!”
She answered reflexively.
After that strange interaction, a tall woman approached her.
“Tomorrow’s Friday, so it’s a bit abrupt, but can you start then?”
“…Oh, I can…”
“Great. Let’s go over the details now.”
“Ah, yes!”
It wasn’t bad.
Actually, it was way better than expected.
She may be older, but in terms of job experience, she was like a total rookie. Still, the CEO seemed generous—the pay and conditions were surprisingly good.
As if possessed, she signed the contract on the spot. And just like that, she was starting tomorrow.
‘I should ask Hakyung to look it over later…’
“I’m home..!”
Eunwoo softly announced her return as she took off her shoes. She didn’t hear anything from inside—just the soft murmur of the TV.
When she entered the living room, Woogyung was napping on the sofa.
Worried the TV might be too loud, she picked up the remote and turned it off.
She remembered the day he first arrived—how Hakyung had opened the door and he was sleeping. She’d thought back then that his sleeping face was… beautiful. Now, standing closer, she couldn’t help but stare at him.
His eyelashes were long and dark, and now she noticed a tiny mole beneath his eye. His nose was high and elegant, and his lips looked soft and plush…
“???”
Woogyung flinched, waking up suddenly. Startled, Eunwoo took a step back, tripping on the coffee table as their eyes met.
She’d been too focused on his face to notice he’d woken up.
“Ah..!”
-Thud-
Woogyung quickly reached out and caught her arm, steadying her.
“Th-thank you..!”
“What… were you doing?”
Sitting up on the sofa, he gave her a slightly confused look.
“…I just… thought the TV might be too loud while you were sleeping…”
“….Ah…”
Woogyung gulped and sat up fully.
Jeez… I was asleep, and she was…
He glanced down at himself, just in case. Sometimes guys… well, you never know after a nap.
Especially in these thin pajama pants. Just in case.

In the silence, only their awkward breathing and the sound of dry swallows filled the air.
A good ten seconds passed like that.
Clutching a cushion to his chest, Woogyung finally straightened his posture and spoke.
“Oh, the interview.”
“Sorry?”
“How’d it go?”
“Oh! I passed..!”
“???”
Woogyung blinked.
“…Really?”
“Yeah..! I thought there’d be a final round too, but the CEO came to the interview. He told me to start tomorrow\…”
“Tomorrow?”
“Yes..! Right away…”
“What company is it?”
Woogyung raised an eyebrow, clearly finding something odd. Eunwoo pulled out the paperwork.
“Here…”
**B Fashion**
He flipped through it briefly, then handed it back.
“Congrats.”
“Ah, thank you!!”
Eunwoo beamed and gave a polite bow. Woogyung stared at her for a moment.
Strange. I feel… worried.
I never worry about my sister. Eun Hakyung’s practically a general. She might be stronger than me.
But for some reason, even after just ten days, Go Eunwoo worries me.
Like… she’s exactly the kind of person scammers target.
If *I* were a scammer, I’d pick her.
Woogyung took a breath and looked her in the eye.
“So you’re starting work tomorrow?”
“Yes! I’ll save up quickly and move out..!”
He smiled gently.
“Just keep living here.”
“…Huh?”
“Move out when you get married.”
“!!!!!”
Her whole face turned red. Seeing her flustered, Woogyung tilted his head.
“What’s wrong?”
“Me? N-no… it’s nothing…”
“You seeing anyone?”
“W-What??? N-no…..”
That answer stung. Go Eunwoo, you really have *nothing*, huh…
“Haha, why that face?”
Woogyung laughed brightly, amused. Eunwoo bit her lip.
“My face..? I’m gonna go wash up…”
“Hurry. We’re going to grab dinner near Hakyung’s office.”
“Oh..!”
She had only eaten a light breakfast before heading out, and the long trip had left her starving. She clenched her fists in excitement without meaning to.
Flustered, she quickly nodded and bolted toward the bathroom. Watching her retreat, Woogyung sank back into the sofa with a lazy stretch.
